Dubai has more than earned its international reputation as one of the best tourist hotspots in the World. With Legoland DubaiAtlantic Aquaventure Waterpark, and tours like our combined Abu Dhabi Mosque and Ferrari Land excursion, it’s easy to see why tourists are flocking there all-year-round! Dubai’s proximity to Abu Dhabi also means that tourists can enjoy the sights and attractions from both cities on the same trip. With so much investment in amazing tourist attractions in Dubai, there is no shortage of enthusiastic tourists. If you’re planning your first ever trip to Dubai, and are wondering when is the best time of year to visit, you’re definitely in the right place!

Avoid the Hottest Months

For anyone travelling to Dubai from a colder climate (which is most climates), they should perhaps consider visiting Dubai any time between November and March. This isn’t quite winter as Dubai is too close to the equator to have a winter and it simply never gets cold (or even mild). However, it is slightly less hot between November and March.  The average high temperature (around noon) between November and March is 26.64°C (or 79.96°F) and the average high temperature between April and October is 37.54°C (or 99.57°F). So, while 26.64°C is by no means cold, it is much more manageable than 37.54°C.

Avoiding the Crowds from April-October

The only potential downside of travelling to Dubai from Nov-March is that its lower temperatures make it the busiest time of year for tourists. Crowds can be a fun, exciting part of travelling to a new country, but not everyone likes the hustle and bustle. If you prefer smaller crowds and don’t mind braving the heat, then you may prefer to travel to Dubai between April and October. You will have to contend with much higher temperatures, but it’s definitely manageable.

A Little Note About Air-con

Obviously, avoiding the hotter months will appeal to many people, but it’s also worth noting that, even in the hottest months, Dubai is perfectly tolerable due to the fact that all of the hotels and most of the buildings in Dubai come with the best air-conditioning in the World. The UAE is an incredibly affluent country and it spares no expense when it comes to air-con.

Lower Prices in May, Jun, and July

If your budget is a little tight, then it may be best for you to visit Dubai when hotel rooms are at their lowest prices. On average, the cheapest months, in terms of hotel rates, are May, June, and July. This is because of the higher temperatures — as we discussed above. While many tours and other activities tend to have fixed prices all year round, you are more likely to find a few cheaper deals or promotions during these months as various companies attempt to secure as many customers as possible in the off season.

There is no universal best time to visit Dubai, as everyone is different, with different needs and expectations. Ask yourself whether you can tolerate the summer heat, or if you prefer smaller crowds, or if your budget is a little too tight to visit in the busy season.
