The trip was as described, I was surprised no water was provided on the journey. Be aware that you are dropped off at start of Wadi and have to get there under own steam. Strongly suggest, a) decent trainers or walking boots to walk up Wadi, plus b) take light flip flops as getting into water is over pebbles. There is nowhere to change into swim wear. It would have been useful if Gray Line had mentioned this

It was breadth-taking ! Paradise for people who want to take photos. But mind it the 3 hour wadi al shab hike is not for everyone. You have to decently fit and adventurous. Also note, bring good hiking shoes as you need to hike on stones and some of them are slippery (with my running shoes I fell on one of them). There is a swimming part. If you do not know swimming then get life jackets. Ask the tour guide while booking if they can provide. As it involves swimming bring extra clothes and towels. Also in the swimming part some of the part is walking on shallow water where the ground is full of stones, so bring another pair of shoes which get dry well. Bring small water bottle and some snacks in case you come empty stomach (you should not ideally). Also you can get a dedicated guide by paying extra on spot who goes with you. For a bigger group this might be value for money. Food was decent, not terrible not great. The bimmah sink hole and the white sand beach was beautiful as well but wadi al shab was the best part !

There are 3 main stops on this tour, the usual itinerary starts at the adventurous Wadi Shab, then lunch at Wadi Shab Resort overlooking the mesmerizing White Beach, & last stop at the breathtaking Bimmah Sinkhole. However there was a slight mismanagement and the tour started late from Muscat, so we had to do the itinerary in reverse due to some issue with the food service timing. Which basically meant that most of us barely ate that delicious food as we had to hike right after. Our journey was extremely pleasant in-spite of it, we were picked up from the hotel in a smaller van and transferred to a massive & comfortable bus with around 30 odd passengers onboard. Our guide Mr. Mehdi was quite jolly & didn’t bore us with excessive details/history. He & our very thoughtful bus driver were generally responsible in keeping a head count to and from every stopover. However they need to improve their navigation through Wadi Shab, for the number of people we were, they should’ve assigned more than 1 person to keep a track and help us get through that rocky & tricky terrain. I had to rely solely on my partner to help me get through some sketchy parts of the Wadi. I was not the only person from the group/tour that fell behind, many others were also at a slower pace and couldn’t keep up and lost sight of them after a few minutes into the hike. However the Wadi is quite commercial & packed with tourists, all headed down the one same path so there’s no getting lost.
